Sarah is a purpose and service-driven researcher dedicated to building communities of wellness, rooted in people's stories and culture, especially around health, family and food. As a first-generation Latina from a farmworker family in Central California, she is passionate about cultivating a more equitable world where traditionally neglected communities are centered, empowered, and uplifted.
Before coming to Percapita, Sarah served in a number of roles across local government, nonprofits, and corporations, engaging communities to address the root causes of inequity. Sarah aims to design programs and services that help elevate the voices and cultural strengths of those we serve while also meeting the fundamental human needs for connection, safety, love, belonging and joy.
When not working, Sarah is nourishing her soul—finding joy on the dance floor, growing food, saving seeds, experimenting with plant-based delights in the kitchen, and appreciating home life with her husband, David, and their dog, Harley Quinn.
